Winthrop is committed to managing environmental issues in a proactive and diligent manner. We are conscious of the responsibility to afford future generations the choices and quality of life that we are currently enjoying.

We review each installation design to minimize energy consumption. The actual cost of ownership, and environmental consequence for each element of plant, is evaluated. In addition, we have identified key areas in which our business impacts on the environment. Our commitment is to responsibly manage these aspects of our business in order to avoid, reduce or control pollution.

We will continually improve on environmental performances in these areas. Our goals are:

• Recycling.
• To surpass environmental regulatory requirements.
• To minimize waste, and environmentally safe disposal of waste produced, care for the environment.
• To keep environmental emissions and discharges of materials to a minimum.
• Optimum maintenance.
• We strive to use the most fuel-efficient vehicles and already maintain a diesel fleet.
