Winthrop have recently been awarded the M&E Services element of the works contract for the new Google headquarters in Barrow St, Dublin. This project is one of the most prestigious contracts ongoing in 2011, and provides for the high specification fitout across 14 floors of office space. This project aims to achieve a LEED platinum accreditation (leadership in energy and environmental design), the internationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high-performance green buildings. This building stands at an impressive 67 meters high, and comprises of 210,000 square feet of office space. Winthrop have already completed the original shell and core and some fitout works for this iconic building, and therefore are in an ideal position to perform the extensive fitout requirements for Google Ireland.
